[Cancelled]Yoshida Miyako's Selection

This mixed programme entitled Yoshida Miyako's Seletion features the colourful pieces from the National Ballet of Japan's repertoire.
As a part of the programme, we will present some gorgeous scenes from the 1st Act of Sir David BINTLEY's Aladdin. Aladdin's journey must entertain you.
You can also look forward to the long-awaited revival of Grand Café from La Chauve-souris, Ballet by Roland Petit".

Plus, we are delighted to stage our original works which were created in a project "NBJ Choreographic Group" and were presented for Dance to the Future 2021 : Selection in November 2021. The works to be performed were picked up by fans' voting!

Prologue, Journey to the Desert, The Cave of Riches from Aladdin
Aladdin was choreographed by Sir David BINTLEY, the former Artistic Director of NBJ for the company in 2008. It got a massive international success having staged by the Birmingham Royal Ballet and the Houston Ballet.
This time, we will present the first three scenes from the 1st Act. Aladdin goes off a journey over the desert and the cave to seek a magical lamp. Magnificent divertissements by the riches will be the highlights.

Grand Café from La Chauve-souris, Ballet by Roland Petit
We are delighted to present the coquettish Grand Café masquerade scene from the chic ballet "La Chauve-souris" by French choreographer Roland PETIT, with his distinct humour and charm. This ballet allows the individuality of the dancers to shine through, something that cannot be achieved with classical ballet alone. Savour this mellow PETIT ballet, with its sense of stylish fun and sophisticated humour for the grownups, at the NNTT.

The performances will be taking place based on the policies of the Japanese government and the Tokyo Metropolitan government, along with the guideline for the prevention of the spread of COVID-19 infection by the Association of Public Theatres and Halls in Japan.
