NNT Opera Studio was founded in April 1998 as Japan's first ever theatre-affiliated training institute for those seeing a career in opera.
Even though the young singers have been facing so much difficulties caused by the pandemic, they always keep a positive attitude and are about to take a new step forward to the bright future.

This summer, young singers (who entered the studio in 2020, 2021 and 2022) will present G.Menotti's The Consul . This opera was premiered in 1950 and was a great success all over the world, winning many awards including the Pulitzer Prize for Music that year.
HOSHIDE Yutaka will make his anticipated return to the NNTT conducting this production. HISATSUNE Hidenori, who received high acclaim for graduation performance "L'impresario in angustie" in March 2021, will direct the production.
