NNT Opera Studio Summer Recital 2024

The New National Theatre Opera Studio, which has produced many opera singers active in Japan and abroad, presents a number of opera highlights as "Summer Recital.

"Summer Recital 2024" will feature a selection of masterpiece operas, German Zingspiels and operettas, Spanish Zarzuelas, and American chamber operas, all of which depict superb human dramas in which song and drama blend together.

The production will be conducted by Kathleen Kelley, former head of music direction at the Vienna State Opera, and directed by Tara Faircloth, an acclaimed director at various opera houses and a renowned guest coach to universities in the United States.

These two talented conductors and directors will create scenes that bring out the sensitivity and individuality of the "voice" of each of the young opera singers who will lead the next generation.
