DETAILS
NNT Opera Studio was founded in April 1998 as Japan's first ever theatre-affiliated training institute for those seeing a career in opera.
During the three-year period, trainee singers participate in a specially-designed programme, which includes coaching in languages, vocal techniques and acting, and are given an opportunity to appear on the stage of New National Theatre Tokyo three times a year.
The students challenged "Iolanta" composed by P.I. TCHAIKOVSKY in June, that was the first time to perform Russian opera. They also presented NNTT Young Opera Singers of Tomorrow 2019 in October, and this time they will present "Le Nozze di Figaro" by Wolfgang Amadeus MOZART for their final performance of the semester and the first step to becoming a professional opera singer.

SYNOPSIS
A former barber and now a servant of Count Almaviva, Figaro is going to marry Susanna, a servant of the Countess. Although the Count has already given up the right of the first night (the lord's right to share the first marriage night with his servant's bride in place of the servant), the Count, who fancies Susanna, intends to reclaim the right.
The Countess laments that her husband's love for her is cooling. Therefore, the Countess, Figaro and Susanna all conspire to outwit the Count. They use Susanna's clothes to disguise Cherubino, a page at puberty, as a woman and try to lure out the Count···
