DETAILS

The two works Measure for Measure and All's Well That Ends Well have not been performed as frequently as some of Shakespeare's other plays. Both are categorised as comedies in the First Folio, but due to featuring rather complex stories and numerous perverse characters, they are called dark comedies.

However they are not simply dark, but have characters that address mankind's inner nature ―sometimes ego and desire― reminiscent of the protagonists in the four major tragic plays of Shakespeare, including Hamlet which was written at the same time. Full of appealingly deep character development and stories that leave audience members breathless from beginning to end, it is no exaggeration to call these works hidden masterpieces. These works are perfect for the company which has been performing Shakespeare's History Plays for 12 years at the NNTT.

*Tickets for the performances on the 4th November at 13:00 and 18:00 are only sold at the Ticket Agent Pia. Z seats (Day Tickets) are sold at the Theatre.

Z Seats (Day tickets) - Measure for Measure

Z Seats (Day tickets) - All's Well That Ends Well

You are able to purchase Z seat tickets, including the 4th November, online from 10:00 am. Click "BUY TICKETS" next to "Z" under each performance information.
There is a handling charge of ¥330 (incl. tax).
Only when seats allocated as Z seats are still available at 11:00 am, you are able to purchase these tickets at the Box Office of the theatre. Note that all Z seats are on a first come, first served basis and will come with restricted views.

Concession Prices

Under 15s discounts are available online. Other types of discount tickets are not available online. Please inquire at the Box Office or by telephone.

Please Note

  • No admittance to pre-school children. Each child older than this age requires a ticket for entry, even when accompanied by a parent or guardian.
  • Tickets may not be changed or refunded except in the case of a cancelled performance.
  • A special discount price is available for disabled guests. Please inquire at the Box Office for details.
