DETAILS
NNT Drama Studio was established in April 2005 with the objective of training the next generation of theatre actors.The programme is led by a faculty of experts in theatrical education and prominent theatre makers from inside and outside of Japan.
The final year students challenge "Pillars of Society(Samfundets Støtter)", written by Norwegian playwright Henrik IBSEN, known as the Father of Modern Drama.
In 1877, the play premiered in Denmark, followed by performances in Norway and Sweden, and got huge reputation also in Germany. In 1880 in London, the play became the first one performed in English among IBSEN's work.
The story depicts some universal themes such as capitalism and dignity of human nature, etc.
This performance will be the culmination of NNT Drama Studio's three- year curriculum.
