NNT Drama Studio "Beautiful Days"

NNT Drama Studio was established in April 2005 with the objective of training the next generation of theatre actors. The play is led by a faculty of experts in theatrical education and prominent theatre makers from inside and outside of Japan.

The actors who entered in 2022 now take the stage for their final graduation performance, following their participation in the readings of When the Wind Blows and the production of Romeo and Juliet. This time, they present Beautiful Days by Matsuda Masataka, a play set in Tokyo and Kyushu at the turn of the century--a period marked by a deep sense of unease. The story captures the stifling experience of internalizing unresolved issues and the oppressive feeling of trying to fit into an overwhelming society, resonating powerfully with today's audiences. Directed by Miyata Keiko, Director of Drama Studio, who also staged this play in two previous graduation performances, this production represents the culmination of three years of dedicated training.
