World Opera Day 2020 features the great master of music, Ludwig van Beethoven since this year marks the 250th anniversary of his birth. The programme for 25 October is inspired by his giant of musical creativity and his humanitarian message of universal brotherhood. We sympathize with this idea and present the excerpt of the 4th movement of his Symphony No.9 performed by New National Theatre Chorus alongside four amazing soloists under the baton of MISAWA Hirofumi.
World Opera Day Celebration Concerts will bring six continents in four acts. New National Theatre, Tokyo will appear at the beginning of Act 1 of the concert.
Please tune in at 15:00 Tokyo Time (07:00 CET) on 25 Oct. on this page or OperaVision channel!

World Opera Day is an awareness campaign of the positive impact and value of Opera for society. Opera as well as the arts contributes to developing tolerance and understanding, opening minds, and getting people in touch with strong universal emotions.
Just as much as sport shapes a healthy body, the arts shape a healthy mind.
