Ambassadors and representatives of cultural organizations attended "Wozzeck"
On November 20th, ambassadors and representatives of cultural organizations attended a performance of "Wozzeck".
The only completed opera by Austrian composer Alban Berg of the Second Viennese School, "Wozzeck" is a stunning work conveying the emotional turmoil and downfall of a destitute soldier. Considered a monumental work of 20th-century opera, this popular work has been repeatedly performed worldwide.
The ambassadors and representatives were enthralled by the stunning performance delivered by an outstanding cast, including Toshiaki Komada, John Daszak, Tatsundo Ito, Arnold Bezuyen, Hidekazu Ttsumaya, Hiroaki Otsuka, Jun Hagiwara, Hideyuki Aochi, Jennifer Davis and Akiko Goke, all under the baton of Artistic Director Kazushi Ono.
