MIZUI ShunsukeFirst Soloist
MIZUI Shunsuke was born in Niigata prefecture. He began his ballet training under WATANABE Tamami and UEDA Megumi at Sado Ballet Friend. After studying at A.M. Students, he went to study at Ballettakademie der Wiener Staatsoper. In 2011, he joined Wiener Staatsballett as an apprentice, then transferred to the Polish National Ballet, where he was promoted to Coryphée in 2016. Since 2019, he has joined the Asami Maki Ballet Tokyo and has performed leading roles in numerous productions. In 2024, he joined the National Ballet of Japan as First Soloist. He has danced various roles including The Blue Bird in The Sleeping Beauty, Lad / Lead Hussar and Russia in The Nutcracker and the Mouse King, Principal Males in Etudes, Peasant pas de deux in Giselle and Rajah / The Caterpillar in Christopher Wheeldon's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.
