"No Man's Land" , the masterpiece of Harold PINTER, has opened at the PIT on the 8th of November.

PINTER's works use sharply truncated words and portray the dangers of personal identity, the fraudulence of society and the instability of human relationships; sometimes taking its portrayals to the extreme with characters on the brink of a breakdown. Even now, in the 21st century, his words throw a dagger at your heart.
In this play, changes in power balance, ambiguity in relationships and uncertain pasts emerge and disappear in a conversation that unfolds in a room, thus unveiling the world of PINTER, in which the uncertainty between truth and falsehood is cherished; leaving the question remaining as to whether the conversation holds the truth or is it a mere game they play.

JITSUNASHI Satoru makes his directorial debut at the New National Theatre this season, having worked on the script together with leading PINTER scholar KISHI Tetsuo, here is a new portrayal of PINTER's world.

"No Man's Land" runs until the 25th of November.
