For the second production in the "Perspectives beyond Generation: the Power of Japanese Drama" series, KAMIMURA Satoshi will take on Abe Kobo's ambitious work "The Fortress". KAMIMURA previously directed the satirical work "Les Séquestrés d'Altona" at the New National Theatre, Tokyo in 2014. His high-quality stage production, with its vivid visualisation of this challenging and complexly structured play, is still fresh in our minds. KAMIMURA has a constant awareness of issues and keeps a critical eye on time and circumstances; we can expect a lot from this new production of "The Fortress".
