Dumb Type by TAKATANI Shiro explores new possibilities in current day dance and performance art by way of images, lighting, graphic art, set design and other sophisticated examples of media art. The second piece, a stage work called CHROMA, is a continuation of La Chambre Claire (The Bright Room). CHROMA is an international collaborative project involving a variety of artists: dancers, musicians, computer programmers, image creators and more. It took place first in the Biwako Hall Center for the Performing Arts, Shiga, in 2012, then the Festival of Marseille in 2013, and the Sapporo International Art Festival 2014. This staging at the NNTT will be a special version of this project.
