This is a re-staging of the Aladdin that previous artistic director, David BINTLEY, fully choreographed in 2008 for the NNTT. A feature of BINTLEY's work is its skillful blend of entertainment and artistry. This staging is a showcase of Bintley's style. It first appeared at the NNTT, then also played at the Birmingham Royal Ballet in the U.K. and the Houston Ballet in the U.S., winning international acclaim.
In addition to the exquisite choreography, this gorgeous production features the music of Carl DAVIS, which readily finds its way to the listener's heart, and dream-like scenes with the flying carpet and genie of the lamp. This is a ballet for those new to ballet that will thrill viewers of all generations, from children to adults.
