This work by Nacho Duato, a choreographer from Valencia, Spain, was first performed by the NBJ in 2002. "Duende" denotes in Spanish a spirit which lives in a house, creating mischief and loud noises. In Andalusia in southern Spain it has the meaning of "mystic and indescribable charm." Duato's choreography and Debussy's music unite in this enchanting and fascinating work.
