Subtitled "The School for Lovers", this opera was created as something of an allegory with the moral that one must not forget reason in matters of love, because those too freely guided by their passions may get hurt. This beautiful ensemble opera demands that all six soloists be able to perform in ensemble at the same high level. Director Damiano Michieletto is among the top young talents today, and anticipation is high to see how he utilizes the fine cast of singers assembled for this new production at the NNTT.
