DANCE PLATFORM is an ongoing series introducing productions by dance companies making their first appearance at the NNTT.

Formed in 2001, dance group Unit Kimiho is led by dancer and choreographer Kimiho Hulbert. Unit Kimiho has unveiled a steady string of sophisticated new contemporary dance pieces over the years. As a freelance choreographer, Hulbert is active not only in ballet and dance, but also in the disciplines of opera, theatre, and film. She was also previously a member of the National Ballet of Japan as a dancer. And in 2011, Hulbert choreographed a contemporary piece for the NBJ entitled Almond Blossoms, to the music of Debussy.
