Together with the well-known arias such as "Habanera" and "Votre toast, je peux vous le rendre/Toreador song", Carmen, a free-spirited woman, and Don José, an honest and trusting man, unfurls a drama of love and death. This great masterpiece of Bizet, with overwhelming popularity around the world, is directed by Uyama Hitoshi, who brings a flavor of Spain to this production. Carmen is sung by Ketevan Kemoklidze, a popular mezzosoprano who combines fine singing abilities, good looks, and acting skills so well that she is flooded with offers from opera houses all over the world. Gaston Rivero, a young tenor who attracts audiences with his mellow voice and sweet mask, will sing Don José.
