The concluding work in this series was written by Horai Ryuta, who writes and directs all the productions of Modern Swimmers, a theater troupe formed by classmates at the Theater Art College, and has become the most noted young playwright of the present time for works such as Dai32 Shinkaimaru and Crying Out Love, in the Center of the World. He is teamed with veteran director Kuriyama Tamiya, the New National Theatre, Tokyo’s artistic director for drama for the past seven years (since July 2000), and winner of numerous awards, including the Kinokuniya Theater Award, the Yomiuri Theater Award for Best Director, and the Asahi Performing Arts Award. |
