The first play in this series is only the fourth written by exciting new talent Hayafune Satoshi, but his work has already garnered widespread acclaim. In this production he is teamed with director Matsumoto Yuko of the Bungakuza theater company, who won the Yuasa Yoshihiko Prize for her staging of Pentecost, the Mainichi Art Award and the Senda Koreya Prize for Homebody/Kabul, and was also given high marks for her production of Tenohira no Kobito at the New National Theatre, Tokyo in 2004.
