Christmas at the New National Theatre-a time for dreams
This Christmas season we present
the delightful Cinderella, with its elegant ball scene. Perrault's fairly-tale
world, Prokofiev's sumptuous score, and the humorous and wittily presented characters
found only in Ashton's version of this classic. A dream staging, sure to enthrall
even first-time ballet-goers.

Synopsis
The wicked stepsisters go to the ball. Cinderella is left to mind the house, and her fairy godmother appears, magically transforming a pumpkin into a carriage to take Cinderella to the ball, where she and the prince fall in love. But suddenly it is midnight, and she must not break her promise to returnc Using the shoe she has left behind in her haste as a clue, the prince finds her, and the two live happily ever after.
