This is an opera performance by the second-year, third-year, and fourth-year
entrants of the New National Theatre's Young Artists Training Programme.
Young singers who have completed the San Francisco Opera Center's training
program for opera singers (Merola Program) and currently performing worldwide
are participating in this production. The young artists have devoted themselves
to studying under this curriculum, which is based on the highest traditions
of international opera training. The distinguished American conductor Jeffrey
Rink will lead these performances of Mozart's magical opera in an exciting
new production by the renowned British director David Edwards.
