HANSEL_und_GRETEL A Fantasy with Human Love: Every Family-from Children to Adults-Can Enjoy This Opera

With nothing to eat at home, Hänsel and Gretel are sent out to gather strawberries. They go into the woods. The boy and the girl pick the strawberries, and they eat them. Before long Hänsel and Gretel realize that they have lost their way back home and eventually they doze off. When they wake up, they find a house made of sweet cake and sugar.

Hänsel und Gretel-based on Grimm's fairy tale-originated as family entertainment for children. German composer, Engelbert Humperdinck set music to the work at the request of his younger sister, Adelheid Wette. The drama is full of family love in the German woods, giving the audience a heartwarming impression. The success of this opera has given Humperdinck a great reputation, and the opera has been popular throughout the world. A cast of the production also can be outstanding. We hope that every family will enjoy the performance.
