As regards to the opera performances of Educational Programme for High School Students "Carmen" to be staged from 12 to 17 July 2010 at Opera House, New National Theatre, Tokyo, Taniguchi Mutsumi, who originally was to perform the role of Carmen on the 13th is unable to perform due to her physical condition. Alternatively, Shimizu Kasumi is going to take her place and the role of Mercédès will be performed by Yamashita Makiko.
