Kindly be informed that regardless
of intensive musical coaching by the staff of our theatre for ”Lulu,
which requires extraordinary ability of artists, I have decided to
produce a two-act version instead of a three-act version as planned.
Moreover, Mr.Mineo Nagata as Alwa has been released from this production.
Alternatively Mr.Jun Takahashi is to take over his place in order
to provide the performances with highest quality to the audience.
In connection with this amendment as informed above, singers
who were to be appeared only in the third act, Ms. Shuko Kinoshita
as Eine Fuenfzehnjaehrige, Ms.Asako Yoda as Ihre Mutter, Ms. Yuko
Seto as Eine Kunstgewerblerin, Mr. Hiroyuki Narita as Ein Journalist
and Mr. Kosei Hayama as Der Polizeikommissaer, will support the performance
in the new roles respectively (They will be on the stage as actors).
Mr. Mitsuya Okubo as Ein Diener will not appear on this production.
Even though Messrs.Pountney
and Reck, the performance director and conductor, originally planned
to have a three-act version, they have agreed that a two-act version
is the only possible solution under this circumstances. I feel very
sorry to inform you and I take responsibility as Artistic Director.
I deeply apologize to you from the bottom of my heart.
Ticket refund will be available from January 20 at the Box Office
