Due to the growing concern with regards to a second-hand smoke, New National Theatre Tokyo will limit the designated smoking area to a smoking corner of the Playhouse.

Smoking areas at the Opera House and the Pit will be closed from the dates below.

Opera House: From the 15th of December (the last date of Opera "Falstaff")

The Pit: From the 24th of December (the last date of Drama "Skylight")

After these dates, the smoking area will only be at the terrace of the Playhouse regardless of the performance venue.
