MARUO TakakoSoloists
MARUO Takako was born in Osaka and after her training at the Fukumoto Shizue Ballet School and Mochizuki Norihiko Ballet Studio, she moved to the Schweizerische Ballet Berufsschule in Switzerland to continue her training. She won first place at the 1991 Chubu Japan Ballet Competition and joined the National Ballet of Japan as a member of Corps de Ballet in the year the Ballet Company was founded. She was then promoted to Coryphée in 2004 and to Soloist in 2008. Takako is an important member of the company whose repertory includes many works ranging from classics to modern pieces.
