HOSODA Chiaki was born in Tokyo and studied ballet under KONISHI Ryoko. After her training at The Tokyo City Ballet and the New National Theatre Ballet School, she joined the National Ballet of Japan in 2005 and was promoted to Soloist. Her repertory includes Pikkilia in Don Quixote, 4th Movement Principal in Symphony in C and Ruskaya in Swan Lake. She danced the title role in Snow White and Cinderella of the Ballet for Children, and main role in La Sylphide in 2016.
