NNTT will produce the new progressive dance work of Kanamori Jo together with Ryutopia, Niigata-City Performing Arts Center. Our aim for this combined effort is to attract attention at home and abroad, and further cultural fosterage through increased exposure and performances. And we further wish that this will aid our Japanese audiences in recognizing again that world class acts are coming out of Niigata and Japan. The “center” of Noism is where we perform our daily activities, where we live, and it cannot be any other place. I am not jokingly stating that where we live is the center of the universe. However, it is clear that where we create our stage performances and where we practice it is the center of our Noism activities. Like a vortex that require great amount of energy to create, the center of our activities also does not come without great cost. It is clear that the associated conflicts and struggles add the required energy to the center of this vortex. With this energy banging at the gates, it will be unleashed with the help of NNTT, and appear on stage as the new Noism piece in spring 2009.
