Maeda Kiyomi is a choreographer whose charm is her crossover dance vocabulary ranging from jazz to contemporary dance. Extremely influential through her choreography for a variety of productions, from her own pieces to musicals and other theater pieces, in this new work, she sets herself free to explore the limits of her imagination.

Maeda Kiyomi
Born in Yamaguchi Prefecture. Studied modern dance there with Kato Yoko. After graduating from the Department of Theater, Nihon University College of Art, she studied modern dance with Kono Jun, ballet with Suzuki Emiko and Yanase Masumi, and jazz dance with Nakura Kayoko. Her own work is performed regularly at Stay Here and Dance Collection, and she has turned her hand to choreography for a number of musicals, stage plays, and productions of the Takarazuka Revue. In 2000, she formed the company DRASTIC DANCE "O" with whom she has produced a number of works, including Subway and Onna (Woman). In 2001, she won the award for Best Staff in the eighth annual Yomiuri Theater Awards. Other major plays and musicals she choreographed include Shakespeare in the Twelfth Year of the Tempo Era, Mozart!, and Anna Karenina..
