Synopsis
On Christmas Eve, a splendid party was held around a large Christmas tree at Masha's house. She was very happy to receive a nutcracker doll from her favorite Uncle Drosselmeyer. But the wonderful Christmas day did not end with that gift. Late at night, the nutcracker doll, which fought against an army of mice, transformed itself into a handsome prince and invited Masha to the Land of Sweets...

The ballet The Nutcracker, performed at theatres worldwide
at Christmas time, has become a special feature of the winter season.
The NNTT included this ballet in its repertoire at an early stage,
and it has been highly acclaimed at each performance. This year,
too, a total of seven performances will be given around Christmas
time. Guided by the handsome prince, Masha will experience the fantastic
snow scenes and dances by sugar fairies dressed in various colors,
as well as the splendid waltz of roses. The world of fairies colored
by Tchaikovsky's exciting music will unfold. This fantasy will be
presented to all children who wait expectantly for Christmas and
all people who always have dreams for the future.
