The New National Theatre, Tokyo (NNTT) enters its fifteenth year with a magnificent programme full of works from Great Britain, the world's current hotspot of the performing arts.

The 2012/2013 season opens with opera, the masterpiece "Peter Grimes" by the most famous British composer of the 20th century, Benjamin Britten, performed for the first time at the NNTT. Then ballet with "Sylvia", its first Japanese performance as choreographed by the NNTT's Artistic Director for Ballet & Dance, David Bintley, leading British choreographer of the contemporary narrative ballet that is the pride of Britain. And drama, with the highly awaited "Richard III" by the world's crowning playwright, William Shakespeare.

The NNTT assembles its strongest line-up ever for this anniversary year, opening its 2012/2013 season like never before.

Bring ears, eyes—all five senses—to the New National Theatre, Tokyo this autumn for taste of some of the best Britain has to offer.
