NNT Drama Studio was established in April 2005 with the objective of training the next generation of theatre actors.
The programme is led by a faculty of experts in theatrical education and prominent theatre makers from inside and outside of Japan.
This summer, students entered the Studio in 2016 will appear on the stage of New National Theatre Tokyo for the very first time.
They will present the Reading Performance "Little Boy, Big Typhoon" written by INOUE Hisashi, which depicts the city of Hiroshima in 1945
seriously damaged by the atomic bomb dropped on the 6th of August and severe typhoon on September.
The performance will be played in Japanese.
