Programme for Nurturing upcoming Artists who lead the Next Generation
Running time is approx. 2 hours 30 minutes including one interval
(Act I:75 mins, interval:15 mins, Act II:60 mins)
NNT Drama Studio was established in April 2005 with the objective of training the next generation of theatre actors. The programme is led by a faculty of experts in theatre education and prominent theatre makers from inside and outside of Japan.
MIYATA Keiko, Director of the Studio as well as the Artistic Director of Drama, will direct the final year students production of "Beautiful Days" which is one of the early works of MATSUDA Masataka written in 1997.
Kenichi, a High-school teacher in Tokyo, quits his job and goes back to his native city in Kyushu after breaking up with his fiancé.
The story is about the emotional journey of Kenichi; lost in the loneliness of a big city, where neighbours and families keep to themselves and prefer to have very little to do with each other, he struggles to find his feet.
This will be the last production before these students go out into the big world.
If you are comfortable with the Japanese language, come and support these upcoming actors.
