This staple Christmastime performance of the National Ballet of Japan is a favourite with audiences. With choreography by Sir Frederic ASHTON, this is the ultimate best of all the Cinderella ballet, having been performed by the Royal Ballet and many other leading companies around the world. The National Ballet of Japan is the only company in Japan to have this valuable work in its repertoire. One of the major attractions of this production is the score composed by Sergei PROKOFIEV, teeming with vibrant melodies. With its wealth of music, the fairies of the seasons dancing to the music, the amazing ingenuity of the moment when the clock strikes 12 and Cinderella's spell runs out, and the entertaining mimes by the wicked step-sisters; the story of Cinderella is the perfect ballet to put a smile on everyone's face this Christmas season.
