Synopsis
The setting is Kyushu, in 1965, in a small town by the name of Arirang Pass. It looks over the Ariake Sea. On the edge of the Arirang Pass is a hairdresser's, where former beautician Sumi lives with her family. Sumi's husband Seong Hun was involved in a mining accident which left him with the after-effects of carbon monoxide poisoning.
