On the 30th of May, 31 Ambassadors and representatives of cultural organizations attended the opera "Fidelio".

As a special production celebrating the New National Theatre Tokyo's twentieth anniversary, this is a new production of "Fidelio", the sole opera by Ludwig van BEETHOVEN.

It is also the last production conducted by artistic director of opera IIMORI Taijiro to finish off his four-year tenure.

They have enjoyed this production with a bold interpretation of Katharina WAGNER, performed by the world-class singers including Stephen GOULD, Ricarda MERBETH, and Michael KUPFER-RADECKY.

There is only one more performance on the 2nd of June 14:00. Not to be missed.
