Cast change : HOSOKAWA Toshio "Matsukaze" & Gaetano DONIZETTI "L'elisir d'amore"

The casts of the role of Der Mönch in "Matsukaze" and Adina in "L'elisir d'amore" have changed as follows.

 Douglas WILLIAMS → Grigory SHKARUPA  (Der Mönch in "Matsukaze")
 Lucy CROWE → Lucrezia DREI (Adina in "L'elisir d'amore" )

Grigory SHKARUPA was born in St. Petersburg in 1989. After graduating from the Glinka Choral College in 2007, he went on to study at the St. Petersburg State Conservatory as both a singer and a choral conductor.

At the age of 19, SHKARUPA debuted at the Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg and has performed with such distinguished conductors as Valery GERGIEV, Yuri TEMIRKANOV, Gianandrea NOSEDA, Mikhail TATARNIKOV, Justus FRANTZ, and Mikhail AGREST.

In October of 2010, SHKARUPA became a member of the Young Artists Program at the Bolshoi Theatre. In 2013, SHKARUPA became a member of the International Opernstudio at the Staatsoper Berlin. Grigory SHKARUPA has been a member of the Staatsoper Berlin since September of 2015, where he has performed the roles of Masetto in MOZART's Don Giovanni, Trufaldino in STRAUSS's Ariadne auf Naxos and Angelotti in PUCCINI's Tosca. Last summer, he sang the role of Don Alfonso in MOZART's Cosi fan tutte at the Bregenz Festival. SHKARUPA has also performed with such notable conductors as Daniel BARENBOIM, Zubin MEHTA, Massimo ZANETTI and Karl-Heinz STEFFENS. He will make his debut appearance at the New National Theatre, Tokyo.

Lucrezia DREI was born in Milano. Only thirteen she made her operatic debut at Teatro alla Scala in Milano in La Piccola Volpe Astuta under the baton of Sir Andrew DAVIS, followed by Yniold in Pelléas et Mélisande under Georg PRÊTRE.

In 2016 she attended the Accademia Rossiniana in Pesaro under the guidance of Alberto ZEDDA. In August 2016 she made her company debut at Rossini Opera Festival as Corinna in l viaggio a Reims.

Her recent engagements include Rigoletto (Gilda) at Teatro Sociale di Como, Le Nozze di Figaro (Sussanna) at theaters of Pavia, Cremona, Brescia and Como, Die Zauberflöte at Royal Opera House of Muscat, Requiem by Fauré at Théâtre du Capitole de Toulouse, La traviata at Teatro Coccia di Novara, La bella dormente nel bosco by Respighi at Rimsky-Korsakov St.Petersburg, Adriana Lecouvreur (Mad.lle Jouvenot) in Pavia, Cremona, Brescia and Como, Don Pasquale (Norina) at Sala Verdi of Conservatory in Milano.

She will make her debut appearance at the New National Theatre, Tokyo.
