The Information Centre collects and preserves a broad range of information and materials relating to contemporary performing arts and makes it available to the general public.

The Reading Room houses a collection of books relating primarily to contemporary performing arts. Resources as a rule are kept in closed stacks; however, visitors are free to peruse the reference material in open stacks including introductory books, anthologies, serials, and dictionaries.
Guests are allowed to check out up to three books at a time (must be returned on the same day).
A user card is required to browse material in closed stacks.
You can register the card at the reception counter.
Please present a driver's license, student ID or other form of identification showing your name, address and date of birth.
Guests may freely use tablet devices which are installed at the Reading Room in order to watch video footage of the performances of the New National Theatre Tokyo and other contents.

At the Video Booths are each furnished with a multimedia computer terminal which accesses an IOD system to allow viewings of information and recordings of the productions presented at the New National Theatre Tokyo.

|Material||Video recordings and commercial DVD footage of the productions presented at the New National Theatre may be viewed. Material can also be selected using the touch panel in each booth. (Note that certain productions are not available for viewing.)|
The Video Theatre is equipped with a 85-inch screen to allow groups over 3 people watch the video footage of the productions presented at the New National Theatre Tokyo.

|Admission||Guests can make a reservation by phone or in person two months in advance up until the previous day (excluding closing days) of your visit. Note that material other than that stored and managed by the Information Centre may not be viewed.|
|Material||To allow time for preparation, please select the material you wish to view on the catalogue search terminal in the reading room or in a video booth by the day (excluding closing days) prior to your preferred date of usage. If the material is not selected beforehand, it may not be made available. (If you cannot visit us in person please enquire by phone.)|
