Symphony in Three Movements / Grosse Fuge / Escaping the Weight of Darkness
2013/2014 Season
Playhouse
The NNTT presents the world premiere of Jessica Lang, a new star of choreography who is winning a lot of attention in the dance world. Furthermore as part of this triple bill, two other premiere works for the NNTT are lined up: "Symphony in Three Movements" is a work filled with a sense of speed and choreographed by George Balanchine, a representative choreographer of the 20th century; and "Grosse Fuge", a work choreographed for the string quartet of Beethoven by Hans van Manen, a central figure in the dance world of the Netherlands. This will be a valuable opportunity for you to enjoy the works of three seminal choreographers.
